Hip Hop music teacher-turned-activist JECOREY "1200" ARTHUR (30), who rose to prominence during the BREONNA TAYLOR (26) protests and became the city's youngest elected official in 2020, has announced that he is no longer a Democrat and is leaving the party. Arthur, who represents the predominately-black District 4, is now an Independent.
