FAMU's record donation debacle: Five red flags Board of Trustees will likely review

One week after it announced that it had secured the largest donation in HBCU history, Florida A&M University has removed all mentions of the $237 million gift it received from a mysterious Texas weed farmer, named GREGORY GERAMI (30). FAMU is now being questioned on whether it had properly vetted Mr. Gerami, the validity of his nearly quarter of a billion dollar private stock gift and his business ventures as CEO of Batterson Farms Corp, which is based in San Antonio, TX.

On Wednesday, embattled university president LARRY ROBINSON (who hides his age) and other university leaders faced a second round of direct questioning from FAMU's Board of Trustees during a special meeting to discuss what has become a source of embarrassment for the top publicly ranked HBCU.
