JESSE JACKSON SR. (81) will step down as the head of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and is expected to announce DR. FREDERICK HAYNES III (62) of Friendship West Baptist Church in Dallas as his successor. Jackson started the organization in 1971 as Operation PUSH. It was merged it with Jackson's "Rainbow Coalition" during his 1984 U.S. presidential campaign.
