US Army’s new combat vehicle named for soldiers killed in Iraq, WWII

The United States Army has dedicated the M10 Booker light tank, which is the first new combat vehicle to enter the force in nearly four decades, to Staff Sgt. STEVON A. BOOKER (34). Booker was killed on April 5, 2003, during the "thunder run" in Baghdad, Iraq during Operation Desert Storm and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross.
