According to Fortune magazine, about a quarter of Americans age 13-28 (Gen Z) are now deemed "NEETs -- which means “not in education, employment, or training.” That translates to an estimated 4.3 million young people, who are not in school or at work.
Over a million new jobs are expected to be created in the United States over the next decade, with many of those positions to be filled by home health aides, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare industry professionals.
Experts, however, say that in addition to being saddled with enormous student loan debt, many young Americans have "worthless degrees" from universities and "they would be much better off if they [became] plumbers or electricians."
