Starbucks North America head retires after five months in the role

MICHAEL CONWAY (54), who was named chief executive officer of Starbucks North America in April, has decided to retire after about 11 years at the coffee chain. The move comes amid a new turnaround plan that focuses on boosting Starbucks’ struggling operations in the United States and moving away from its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Conway's job wil be phased out.
