With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of DR. WYTERIA TENNILLE MACK (47) of Marietta, Georgia, on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024. 

A native of Memphis, Tennesses Dr. Mack was predeceased by: her grandparents, L. V. Sanderlin, Bessie M. Johnson, Cornelius Douglas and Juanita Blankenship of Tennessee. She is survived by: her father Cornelius Wayne Douglas (Janie Bernice Thomas) of Memphis, TN; her husband JEROME KENT MACK (47) of Marietta, GA.; her stepfather Terrell Dewayne Douglas; her brother Terrell Dewayne Douglas; her aunts, Kimberly Blankenship of Jackson, TN, Geraldine Dodson of Memphis, TN, Bettie Hunter of Rockford, IL and Jean Holloman of Nashville, TN; her uncle Robert Perry of Memphis, TN; her stepsister Cecily Harris of Fayetteville, NC; her mother-in-law Batavia Arnette Webb of Franklin, TN; and her in-laws, ORLAND and EBONY MACK of Memphis, TN, JAKARTA and ALISON MACK of Murfreesboro, TN, BAYER and TOTELA MACK of Louisville, KY. 

She is also survived by a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces, who shared in her joyful spirit.

Wyteria was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, completion, thoughtfulness and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. we ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing Wyteria.

After her graduation from Kirby High School, she received her Bachelor's degree at Tennessee State University (2000) in Nashville, TN. Her education journey continued with receiving her Master's degree in Psychology (2012) and continuing her educational journey to receive Doctorate of Psychology (2023), obtaining both from Walden University. Dr. Mack practiced Psychology until her death.  

Outside of her work, Dr. Mack found joy in traveling the world, planning events, painting, crafting, interior designs, mid-century and modern design, as well as reading and writing. Her love for travel reflected her adventurous and free spirit for life. She loved to Garden, everything she planted prospered. Her favorite plant of all was the Wisteria. Last year her and Jerome’s four-legged best friend Lyric passed away, Lyric was loved fiercely by Dr. Mack and Jerome. Those who knew Dr. Wyteria T. Mack will remember her for her infectious smile and overwhelming laughter, her deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and her unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone she encountered. She had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path. 

Although Dr. Wyteria Mack physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.

As you continue to worship Jesus up there, dear Wyteria, your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts
